Andy Greaves & LewisIt’s been some time since we started holding regular lectures and workshops here at the Magick Lounge. We try to ensure that every lecturer is someone who is at the top of his or her particular area of expertise. So you can imagine how pleased I was when Andy Greaves agreed to present a one-day workshop here on entertaining children.

Andy’s been in the business for over 35 years. After making his first TV appearance at the age of just 13 he went on to work for most of the major holiday companies throughout Britain and abroad. He has done pantomimes with such people as Darren Day and John Inman, theatre shows and cabaret, TV shows for the BBC, and Granada, as well as TV warm-up work for CITV. Andy Greaves now has a very successful career both as an adult stand–up comic and ventriloquist and works as Andy & Lewis doing birthday parties and private functions.

As you can imagine, Andy has picked up a wealth of knowledge and experience along the way. He is now for the first time willing to pass that on to you.

You will learn how to avoid many of the mistakes people make at the start; how to put a great children’s show together; how to develop different types of shows for different ages and occasions; which magic tricks suit which age group and why; what PA systems are best for indoor and outdoor use; where to advertise to get the best for your money; how to increase the amount of bookings you get; where to find more work.

Everyone who attends the course will not only leave with the knowledge they have gained during the day, they will also be presented with a folder packed full of valuable information covering the day’s topics, plus contact details that they will be able to keep as an ongoing reference to help with their future career.

For further information contact Magick, or Andy direct via his website.
